OSSUMMIT EU 2023, one of the world’s top open-source events organized by the Linux Foundation, was officially opened on 19 September 2023 in Bilbao, Spain. As one of the world’s top open-source events organized by the Linux Foundation, the summit, under the theme of “Innovation Happens Here”, brings together global open-source developers, vendors, technologists, users, universities, and research institutes to discuss open-source innovation and the future. As a partner of the OpenAtom OpenHarmony ecosystem, ELECFREAKS brought its open-source big brother, XGO Robot Dog, to the event.

Intelligent robot dog Based on the OpenHarmony lightweight system, the Open Brother development board serves as an AI intelligent unit, which can realize rich functions such as visual line inspection, self-balancing control, and motion detection, etc. It adopts aluminum alloy material, which supports actions such as walking up and down steps freely.

The Open Source Big Brother project, an open source, open, and shared technology education ecosystem for youth, helps young people access open source hardware, as well as knowledge and skills in the fields of creativity education, programming education, and artificial intelligence education. Using a variety of open source hardware products such as Big Brother development boards, combined with expansion boards such as Wukong Breakout Board and Nezha Breakout Board, ELECFREAKS created a series of creative works suitable for teaching and display on campus, and demonstrated them in various schools for interaction and popularisation of teaching, which triggered a strong interest among students.

In the future, ELECFREAKS will continue to work together with its ecological partners to build diversity, dedicate itself to the promotion and innovation of open source hardware education, give full play to the advantages of open source, promote the prosperous development of the youth open source education ecosystem, and help cultivate youth science and technology reserve talents.
