Exciting and intense rivalry matches - World Robotics Competition Futurama

Description

The City of the Future event is a competition designed by the ELECFREAKS Events team in conjunction with BrainCo in 2022, which has now been added to the World Robotics Competition, China's educational whitelisted competition, for the second year in a row.

World Robot Contest (World Robot Contest) has been successfully held 8 times since 2015, attracting nearly 200,000 contestants from more than 20 countries worldwide. Through years of accumulation and growth, the contest system has been continuously improved, the contest content has been enriched, and the scale of participation has been continuously improved, and it has developed into an official professional event in the field of robotics with a wide range of influences at home and abroad, and the major mainstream media have widely praised it as the "Olympics" in the field of robotics.

"The Youth Robotics Design Competition is a popular science competition of the World Robotics Competition, aiming to stimulate the spirit of research and innovation of the youth players around the world through the competition, cultivate the comprehensive ability of teamwork, strategic division of labor, hands-on practice, etc., to provide an international innovation platform for the majority of the participating youth, to effectively promote the organic integration of industry, academia, research, and application in the field of robotics, and to contribute to the development of the global robotics industry by contributing to the wisdom and solutions, and to become an important force in promoting the cultivation of innovative talents, scientific and technological talents, and skills and technology talents around the globe.

Based on Goal 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities developed by the United Nations Sustainable Goals, the City of the Future Match is a comprehensive robotic 1v1 confrontation match with renewable resources as the thematic background, integrating artificial intelligence brain science, programming, and mechanical construction. The Future City competition is divided into two sides, red and blue, and the competition is divided into an automatic phase and a manual phase. In the manual phase, players need to compete in concentration through EEG equipment to throw resource balls into the lighthouse; in the automatic phase, automatic roving trolleys are needed to transport the resource balls to the finish line area.

The competition is open to youths in elementary, middle, and high school stages and integrates artificial intelligence, brain science, programming, and mechanical construction. Players need to independently design and build the mechanical structure of the resource transportation vehicle and intelligent conveyor, and complete the transportation of resources through brain-controlled projection and cart handling. The competition can not only exercise the youth's programming, mechanical structure construction, robot design, and teamwork ability but also comprehensively enhance the brain's underlying ability.

Until now, Futurama has held 30+ offline competitions in more than 20 provinces and cities in China, with more than 6,800 participants. Next, let's enjoy the competition robots built and programmed by the competitors themselves and the exciting moments of the previous competitions.

At one of the competitions, there was an intelligent conveyor that caught everyone's attention because of its unique and ingenious design. After the game, we contacted the team's teacher and briefly learned about the design principle of the conveyor. The design of the conveyor follows the design principle of launching stability and draws on the structural characteristics of a tennis tee. Compared with the traditional projectile structure that utilizes leather bands to launch, the students' innovative design utilizes wheels to launch the ball at high speed. The rotating ball will have a more stable trajectory through friction with the air, reducing randomness. The difference between the transmitter and the tennis ball launcher is that the students laid out the rotating wheels vertically and increased the inverted spin of the launched ball through the structural design to increase the slope of the ball's parabola, so that the ball can enter the basket at a more vertical angle and the ball filled with inverted spin can stick to the basket more, increasing the chance of entering the basket.

The contestants went all out in each competition, competing for every second and winning. The team of ELECFREAKS will also seriously plan and organize the implementation of each competition, join hands with all parties, and make concerted efforts to achieve the goal of high quality, high level, effective and distinctive, and strive to make the competition an effective hand and public welfare platform for the comprehensive implementation of quality education, and use the competition as traction to lead more young people to enthusiastically devote themselves to the cause of building a strong science and technology country, to promote the balanced regional development of science and technology education, and play a new role in the cultivation and creation of scientific and technological innovation talents! The competition will lead more young people to participate in the construction of a strong science and technology country, promote the balanced development of science and technology education in the region, and play a new and greater role in the cultivation of scientific and technological innovation talents!

After 3 years of precipitation, our tournament team has accumulated certain experience in tournament design, customization of tournament equipment, tournament promotion, and operation, and we are always ready to welcome more partners who are interested in robot programming competitions to contact us at any time.
